- Select the Edge screen.
- Enable Edge panels.

How to Extract Text from an Image on Samsung using Smart Select

Step 1. Make sure to enable Edge panels and select Smart select. Head into settings > display > edge screen > edge panels. Through this menu, you can enable firstly the Edge screen itself, but also the smart select Edge panel.
Step 2. Go to the page or open an image that you want to extract text from.
Step 3. Open the Edge panel with a swipe until you get to Smart select.
Step 4. Tap Rectangle, adjust the rectangle size, and tap done.
Step 5. Tap Extract text.
Step 6. You will be asked to download OCR Service from the Galaxy Store. Tap Download and after that tap Install.
